The international MedGames 2024 competition will be held on October 25-26, 2024, at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital Martin. This year marks the ninth edition of the competition for medical and nursing students.

The competitive tasks take place within the University Hospital in Martin, where students will encounter real-life situations they will face in their future careers. Under the supervision of experienced educators and clinical specialists, they will test their skills and, for the first time, apply what they have learned over the years, utilizing their knowledge in practice before starting their professional careers. They will have the opportunity to practice procedures such as laparoscopic suturing on a simulator, surgical stitching, and intubation. Throughout the competition, students will be evaluated not only on their professional skills but also on their approach to patient care.

This educational and competitive project also aims to showcase that Slovakia has top-notch educational equipment and, more importantly, experts from the ranks of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. It serves as a motivation for both us and the participants to continually improve and advance, so we can utilize all the experience gained to help others.
