MedGames is an educational and competitive project designed for 5th and 6th-year general medicine students, both those studying in Slovak and English, as well as 2nd and 3rd-year nursing students.
The competition aims to enhance the practical skills of future doctors and nurses. Students have the opportunity to test their acquired theoretical knowledge and demonstrate how they can apply it in practice. The cases used are based on real-life experiences from doctors across various specialties, and the most advanced simulators from the Simulation Training Center of the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine at Comenius University in Martin are employed. Everything is conducted under the supervision of experienced educators and clinical staff.
The combination of medical and nursing students in the competition makes MedGames a unique format with no equivalent in Slovakia or the Czech Republic. However, it is important to emphasize that the goal is not winning but rather the experience gained and the motivation for students to continuously improve. Train today, save lives tomorrow. This is the message of MedGames.
